Name: Vanessa Masters.

Nicknames: Vee, V, Miss M. Madame Xanadu,  Radha, Kali, Durga, Devi, Groa, Poseida, Calypso and Dark Spectre Queen of the Universe. Witchy Lady.

Age: 75 million years old, thou appears in 3's or 20's.

Gender: female

Identity: bisexual, but mostly straight.

Orientation: Demisexual. If there's a connection, or deep attraction she'll go for it.

Species: Immortal Sorceress.

Race: She was of the same race as Nabu, a ancient society of beings. Homo Magi. But after he forsook his physical form, and she'd sold her soul, she's sorta become her own kinda being.

Ethnicity: Her ethnicity is shifting, and yet omni. She is of the early races, before people were separated into different races. She has all the markings of different races, and yet appears as the ethnic the person staring at her is. She was Hispanic for a long time, and still does take on those characteristics, but getting close to Tommy Terror and Booster Gold, she's taken on a more Caucasian appearance. But her eyes are still violet, and her hair dark black.

Nationality: Pangaea. (She's lived in countless countries.)

Birth town: Unknown. (Too long ago to remember, actually may have been born in a field.)

Previous towns: Atlantis, Gem World,Metropolis, Central City, Star City, Miami, various towns and villages in China, Asia, Japan, Spain, Italy and finally, the city of El Paso Texas.

Current town: She drifts from town to town, but has a penthouse in California. But prefers to hang out at safe houses of Tommy Terror and Icicle Jr. However, after marrying Booster Gold/Michael Carter, she lives in their beach house on Naples.

Coloring/general features:

•Eyes: Violet, thou she can change them, that is always her consistent eye color.

•Hair: Ebony Black, but once was yellow like melted gold.

•Skin: Often a dark tan, it's become lighter and Caucasian. But has shifted between two.

•Build: Full body, and often this changes being a shape-shifter, she however retains a ample bosom, long legs, curvy butt, a bit of round and pillowy body. She has long piano fingers, and strong muscles, her density is greater than that of a kryptonian under sunlight, and can lift thousands of pounds with muscles.

•Distinguishing features: Her eyes, always a shimmering, glimmering, glowing purple. Her eyes will glow a deep neon purple, completely engulfing her eyes when she performs incredibly strong magic. Or under extreme emotions. Her lips and fingernails are green, she covers it up with glamors, but lets it slip to reveal their colors.

She also has a purple butterfly tattoo on her left breast, thou it's more like a birthmark, it's how she siphons off excess mystic energy. By concentrating her powers to make the mark appear. It's also a storage, if she runs low on power, the butterfly vanishes and she's still very powerful.


Allegiance: She is good and identifies with the Justice League, thou doesn't always follow their protocols. She believes in being perfect, good kind, right, mighty. But she can't be TOO good, or she'll warp to being complete evil. So, she does enough bad things to keep balance, thou her good deeds often are more noticed.

However, she ruthlessly torments evil living people, making them regret their evil deeds. And continues to drive them crazy till they confess their deeds, regret, or die. She also drains the youth out of those evil, weak and morally depraved individuals once every one hundred years.

Vain, selfish socialites, cruel CEO, serial killers and abusers. She sucks the life out of them, thus she is morally ambiguous. But if a person is innocent, or good she does them no harm.

While assisting the Justice League, she also works with the Gods too on occasion. Defending Nature, and making sure the humans pay their proper respects, she always looks out for everyone else, and makes sure nothing she does with one group will effect the other.

Powers/Abilities/Styles/Gifts: Supremely powerful, her body, mind and soul produce unlimited power, magical, cosmic and so forth. She needs to constantly use it, or risk overloading and extinguishing the Omniverse in the explosion. She has vast control over a great deal of that power, and uses it up by assuming a powerful glamour, as well as creating near unlimited duplicates of her self to go out and patrol the different worlds. She has her limits, especially with all the altemeres, living duplicates of herself she has. A Universe wide reality bending, or restart would drain her near dry, but in 15 seconds would be back to the same level of power as Doctor Fate, or Darkseid.

She possesses various powers, and also extreme talent with science as well, in robotics and genetics. But focuses on magic. She also has granted herself meta abilities, and wields powerful cosmic energy.

She can transmute various matters, shrink, enlarge, heal, control matter, alter reality to a scale, cast limitless spells and whip up any kind of potion. She often performs hand gestures, or winks her eye to cast a spell of a great level, but she can do it with pure thought.

But near constant 'thought' spell casting can be taxing on her mind, she moves things with her mind and create large spread illusions. She can perform a type of hypnotisim, where she puts a thought into someone's head, but it's up to them to take the idea and run with it. She can create various creatures, her blood holds extremely powerful properties, one spilled drop can create over a thousand demons, or angels. It depends on the situation, or her mood. Even she can tell what will be formed. Her blood holds great healing properties, or be a deadly poison. She can mix her blood into a potion, and increase it's potency a thousand fold.

She is able to make herself so invisible and intangible, it's like she doesn't even exist. And has a mirror with which she can see and hear anywhere, past, present and future. And no one would ever no.

She is also able to do this with her mind, and cast spells, or curses from light years away. But this drains her mystic energy, and makes her nose run, and is only used if she stops using her powers to save up for a hour.

She can also induce mutations, controlling the chemistry of a body on a cellular level, or rapidly evolving them to their prime state.

She can mind control others with ease, and no foreseen side effects, but she despises using it.

She can shoot invisible energy strings from her eyes, or fingertips to control objects, or people physically.

She has the power to create, change and destroy. (But almost always uses the first two only.)

She can make a infinite amount out of anything, which helps in restoring nature as she can make trillions of gallons of water from a handful of clean water. And purify anything, pollution from ground, toxins from air, poison gas. And constantly restores the ozone layer, and various forms of extinct, or endanger plant and animal life.

Thou she creates a alternate Universe for them to grow and thrive, away from human interference. Thus the copies of herself, as she needs to cover all these bases, looking after children, women, plants, animals, the ocean, earth, air. A lot of it is a full time job.

5 weaknesses of hers.

She can't break a promise, she can't make someone love, she can't change the past, she can't interfere with 'The Source' and is incapable of using powers against a endangered being. Like Superman, since he's the last of his kind, or part of a endangered race, her powers can't permanently harm him. Only to repel him or whatever creature she encounters.

Also, if she wanted to she could purify the whole Earth at once. Turn everyone mentally, physically psychosocially, spiritually pure, cleanse the whole planet of pollution, make it rich and plentiful. And every extinct, endangered, or dwindling plant, animal and sea life vast and plentiful. As well as cleanse the air, get rid of global warming, and make the icy parts of the world and melting polar ice caps cold icy, frigid and largely encompassing. She'd be able to do it, but would have to sleep for nine months afterwards, if not then for ten years. Just to recover some of her powers.




History: Once the wife of the high magical Lord Nabu, Vanessa and her husband were happy for many years. Until the day he left her, forsaking his physical form to become a lord of Order. Incensed, her and devastated by her husbands callous abandonment, his leaving without even learning she was pregnant.

She tried to carry the child to term, but the stress caused her to have a violent birth. And the child was stillborn, she was also told she would never have children. At the time, she was a immensely powerful sorceress, but even that was weak against the problems she encountered. And in her grief, she welcomed the poison soaked words of her brother, Dark Opal.

Her brother was a vicious man, and Lord of Chaos. Seeing her grief, and the blood covered bundle of her dead child, he felt some pity and struck a deal. She would go out and collect one-hundred thousand souls, as well as sell her own. Not only would she regain her ability to have children, her dead child would be restored and she'd be granted countless magical abilities. Her brother spoke so smoothly, she signed the contract and made the deal.

It was a dark and bloody time, and she had her son back..but as a Lord of Chaos. Klarion, the witch boy. But he still loved his mother, and grew up as any child, but at 13 he was given to the Chaos lords.

She was later accounted for her crimes, but the higher being, the presences. Or Capital G-god took pity on her, and gave her a chance to redeem herself for the souls she captured, as well as for her own.

She did and 60 million years ago, became the 'Equonox' the balancer of Order and Chaos. She controls, and uses both Chaos and Order magic, and ensures one side doesn't gain too much of a foot hold over the other. Over them she reigns supreme, and that's where her unlimited powers come from. And why she tries to be perfect, but does enough to keep balanced.


Since then, she has aided various heroes, or people in need. Children, alone and lost, scared women in bad relationships. Or small towns, pushed around by corrupt officials. She met the Justice League some time before the light started to cause trouble, and has been there to help them out.

However, she is also compelled to hang out with the underdog villains. Character not quite so evil, and really good people underneath. So, she looks out for them and saves them from danger.

She is also the Time Sorceress,


Important Notes and Quirks:

• She doesn't need to sleep, or eat, drink, or even breathe. She on occasion forgets to breathe, but does it to be polite and not scare humans.

• She can't fly, it's one of her limitations. But it's self-imposed, so not to seem mary-sueish.

• Prone to spastic behavior, bursting into song, dancing, randomly transforming stuff.

• Often a tad deranged, or eccentric. She once talked to Batman's cape and cowl for 20 minutes, before she realized he wasn't in it.

• Will drape over close personable friends with a hug and kiss on each.

• Will twirl her hair when idle, or hold it in both hands and run her fingers through it when nervous.

• Peanut Butter makes her go all haywire, powers, or mentally.

• Will float up in the air to relax, and drift like someone in a hammock.

Notable relationships:

Jaime Reyes: she married his maternal uncle. She's his godmother, and very closely attached. Uses her sorcery to keep the scarab in line. And even makes it go off mode to free him of the Reach's control. The closest thing she has to a family, she shows up at the Reye's family often for Holidays, birthday and celebrations. She keeps a close eye on her nephew, and he in turn often comes to her defense when others would slander her.

Leslie Thompkins She helps her aid the underprivileged down in Gotham's slums, providing healing, protecting and activities to the children. They work closely together, and have a highly respectful and fond working relationship.

Booster Gold Her and Michael Carter have a very close, deep and passionate relationship. She is a time sorceress, and traveler like him. And unlike some, she actually looks past his glory hound ways and sees a guy who seriously tries to help others, and maintains the time stream. Dedicated to his family, friends and job. And yet, he puts up this facade for the world, and often times turns down the opportunities that would make him happiest, cause he knows it would disrupt the time stream. Such selflessness made her fall in love with him, even before meeting him since she can foresee the future. And the two had a natural chemistry, and what started as a sexual relationship, blossoms into a full romance. And later marriage. (Secretly knowing Rip Hunter is her and Booster's son, but she doesn't tell him.) She always calls him 'Darling.' Except when scolding him, which is rare, then she shouts 'MICHAEL!!'

Tommy Terror A relationship that started via the persisting amorous pursuit of Tommy Terror. They had a sorta 'The Graduate' relationship for a while, and while there was issues with Tommy's criminal past, age and history with the heroes. It proved to be beneficial for both. For Tommy's attention and affair got Booster Gold to return from the future, and pursue a serious relationship with Vanessa. While Vanessa improved Tommy's life, got him to quit crime, get a education and mend things with his parents, even pairing his sister up with a man who she love, and who returned the feeling. Now the two are close friends, parting ambivalently, and she more or less dotes on him. Keeping an eye on him to ensure he's safe, and not being persecuted for his former dealings.

Lex Luthor, Vandal Savage, Ra's Al Ghul.

Past lovers of hers, the later two of whom were the fathers of some of her children. They were the longest relationships she had....the one with vandal lasting ups to 800 years. But now, they are parted, and thou they have a healthy respect for each other, it doesn't stop her from interfering with their plans.

Thou, Lex is the more friendly one, as he's looked out for her family, Jaime and others. And never lets any harm come to them, and she on occasion overlooks one or two of his plans. Or forewarns him of a attack.  

Marie Aidoneusu Stewart/Pyronies: Goddaughter, demi-goddess daughter of Hades and Persephone, reborn into human form. Very close, almost mother and daughter, and helps to protect Marie from the more powerful gods, monsters, or humans that would take advantage of her. Matched her up with Kaldur, who is Vanessa's descendant.

Kaldur'ahm/Aqualad: Descendant of hers through her great-great-great-great grandaughter. She feels for him as she does for Jaime, and teaches him further magic since he can't go to the conservatory for lessons. She has assisted him in his growth, and use of water magic. She has also pushed him, thou she would say otherwise, into pursuing a relationship with Marie. And eventually, the two do fall in love and live together.
